Gran Turismo 5 Like The Wind
I love video games and I savour giving useful information to help others.
Race Modified Cars In GT5
So far, out of the 1,000 plus cars in Gran Turismo 5, there is only 17 that can be race modified. To save people the torment of irksome load screens to cheque all of your cars, I decided to make a list including pictures, before and subsequently specs, tunes, prices for the stock car, and race modification price. Some of the horsepower and torque specs may be off by a few (the dealership compared to the garage sometimes is off by a few Hp). For the highest Hp, ever modify the oil when you purchase a car, fifty-fifty from the dealership.
Once they are modified, all cars volition come painted white, then if yous cull to pigment the car another color, you volition have to pay for that besides ($2000-$6000). Almost cars also benefit from visiting the tuning shop after beingness RM'd. Most of the cars can still use engine and turbo upgrades.
If anyone has better tuning for a specific car, please leave a comment so I can update this article.

To make the RUF cars handle amend....increase front spring rate and daming. Besides front ringlet. Decrease all of these in the rear until you go it to stop oversteering. That'southward how Porcshe does it. Difficult to make a rear engined auto not oversteer but once you become it dialed in it is dandy.

The TVR tuscan speed 6 is definitely worth the coin. Incredibly good fun to blast about in. Plus yous go that little bit of slide from the backend, non enough to negatively effect your times, but just enough to crusade maximum fun!

I have no real feel with the ZR1, but my Z06 Works like a dream with more slant in the back.. Just sits on the tires and speeds out of the corner. There shouldn't be so much difference betwixt the two considering information technology's the same base car. Great motorcar with the right settings.
BROOKSEY10 on November 22, 2011:
Setting the slant at 2.0/1.0 then the trans at 261 then down force at the max on front and back and then the dampers extension and compression at 10 all the way effectually and the spring rate at 16.6/13.4.... I beat the "like the current of air" races kickoff try on both with these settings. Every histrion has there own preference in how they like their cars to handle. Play with your settings and you lot will win. Great list HUB

Practiced point. Tires are never mentioned, Soft racing tires for whatsoever car or near virtually any race will assistance you win. Thanks for pointing that out.
Dusty/84 on November 17, 2011:
Any maxim y'all can't complete "similar the current of air" Indy with the ZR1 RM is wrong only one thing your probably missing every bit I was is that you need soft racing tyres equipped, nowhere in the above specs does anyone mention tyres. Seven,
Thanks for your comment. I'm also more than interested in driving the more mutual cars every bit they appeal to me because I can drive them and work on them in existent life. I'm personally a VW mkiv person myself (note the elevation picture).
I practise like a niggling online play but most people online drive similar shiv, ramming, bumping, information technology makes the game suck. Continue trying different rooms and friend the people that drive adept. After awhile you'll have enough of people to race with that don't care if they win or lose, they simply beloved the thrill of the race.

does race modding the 69' Camero become rid of the gov'nr on it?
VII on September 28, 2011:
Great call on the ZR1 RM tune. This is honestly the first fourth dimension I've always sought out other people's tuning specs for ANY Gran Turismo. Literally took me only iii-four tries on the Indy Similar the Wind issue afterward dialing in your specs. It'south pitiful (and quite obvious) that the majority of people posting on here know very lilliputian near how the bodily settings change the behavior of the cars though (which is likewise why online play is completely uninteresting to me). Equally for myself, I more often than not accept no interest in the hyper-fast cars and am more interested in modding the more than realistically accessible production cars. Again, many thank you my friend.
Black_Corvette on September 17, 2011:
That Tuscan looks fit, got the cappucino which is a great automobile, and the camaro 69' is so classy. crawly hub, continue going.

Klutch_Evo,
I didn't suggest anything. These are the tunes that other people are recommending. As I said to a higher place if you lot have a better tune postal service it in the comments and I will update the tune.
If you accept a spec that can better the tune and then please post it for us all, if not then thanks for your backhanded comment.
As well by your proper name I assume your talking about the development. Or is your great advice for every car listed?
klutch_evo on Baronial 24, 2011:
why did u suggest lowing the motorcar to counter understeer. lowering the center of gravity will promote understeer, you should soften upward the spring rate in the rear or raise the vehicle up to help negate the condition.
Writen4u (author) on August 11, 2011:
They all come white, and so you tin can paint them whatever color y'all desire.

I'm a smashing racer, trader, and have a good centre for quick cars!
Big Mike on May 23, 2011:
And I'd likewise similar to praise the folks at Gran Turismo for keeping the nostalgic expect of the Camaro Z28 and the Challenger R/T, fifty-fifty with racing mods. All the same has that classic muscle car feel, y'know?
kjeld on May 10, 2011:
well if your zr1 understeer, lower the front end but not to much. i lowered the front by 10 and the back 0.
camber front end two.5 and toespoor 0.twenty dorsum two.0 toespoor 0.20 (std).

Oh, and you MUST be on manual for the Indy race. I did petty if any breaking, simply geared downward to 4th(?) during tightish truns.
Dan on May 06, 2011:
The ZR1 stock settings and playing with transmission were enough for me to win both Similar the Wind Races using the dual stupor in virtually an hr and a one-half to ii hours. Listen y'all I am non an expert histrion. Possibly reset to stock settings and finagle the tranny?
aka_TRAP on April 20, 2011:
To be honest, I tried using the setup for the ZR1, and I constitute it to exist horrible merely because the car but LOVES to oversteer, and every fourth dimension I tried to fix it, it would understeer. I was able to nail a low i:xv on Laguna Seca (currently my fastest time), and I'thousand still working on the tune. But for now, I'g leaving Skid Recovery On until my sanity leaves me again and I set on the ZR1 tune :P
nice work on this page, though. I'm glad I found something that had every machine with race mods.

The 5.half-dozen 1000000 credit Citroen also appears to be race modifiable. Won one in one of the events, and it has a number that can be changed like the other cars. Too raced against a Zonda LM? and it also had the tell tale rectangular number. I don't know if those cars come out of the box race modified or not? Simply I don't think this listing is consummate...

AndyC on February 17, 2011:
I have that Suzuki, boosted to just over 100bhp and it's still not much fun equally a drivers car, though reasonably quick. Have also got one of the Lotus cars, again not as much fun equally say the motorsport elise, though information technology is quicker (just) than a tricked motorsport - I'd say spend the money on a motorsport elise.
The ZR1, squeamish auto, I've won a lot of races with that.
And, tonight it'll be 69 Camero time, that's a beautiful race car. Cheers for info/article.
D on Feb 15, 2011:
The Cappuccino with the modification is great. It's a lot of fun to drive with only minor upgrades to the frazzle and the level 1 turbo. You tin add together a few tweaks to interruption depending on how free you like your auto.
What'due south keen about this car is that you can enter it in a very large number of races at the outset of the game.
Squib on February fifteen, 2011:
Just noticed Chevrolet Camaro SS '10 says before Race Mod 426HP,later on Race Modernistic 170HP. I assume this is a typo or does Race Modernistic really drop the HP on this auto?
